Bookmarking lets teachers keep track of the BrainPOP content they return to most often —  topics, unit collections, activities, and Browse by Curriculum lesson pages — from anywhere in BrainPOP, across all BrainPOP products. Everything you bookmark is kept in one place: your personal Bookmarks page in your Dashboard, where you can sort, filter, and search your bookmarks.

Using Bookmarking

Bookmarking

1. Find the content you want to return to later, in any BrainPOP product. You can bookmark almost anything: a topic, an activity, a unit, a BrainPOP Science Investigation, a Browse by Core lesson page.
2. Hover over it and click the bookmark icon that appears.
3. A confirmation message will appear when the bookmark is saved, saying "Saved in My Bookmarks."
4. Click My Bookmarks in the confirmation message to jump right to your Bookmarks collection, or keep browsing.

The bookmark icon will show up on content you have already saved. To remove a bookmark, just click the bookmark icon again. A confirmation message will appear, saying "Removed from My Bookmarks."

Your Bookmarks Page

1. You can find your Bookmarks collection by choosing My Bookmarks from the Quick Links on your Homepage. You can also find your three most recently saved bookmarks at the top of your Dashboard, and choose All Bookmarks to jump to your Bookmarks collection.
2. On your Bookmarks page, your saved bookmarks are sorted by most recent by default. Use the Sort by: menu to sort by most recent, or alphabetically.
3. Use the Search bar to filter your bookmarks by keyword.
4. Filter by Product filter to show bookmarks from specific BrainPOP products like BrainPOP 3-8+, BrainPOP Jr., BrainPOP Science, BrainPOP ELL, or BrainPOP Español & Français.
5. Filter by Bookmark Type to narrow your bookmarks by the type of content: Activity, Topic, Unit, etc.

Troubleshooting Bookmarking

• I don't see a bookmark icon.
  Bookmarking is only available on teacher accounts in a School or Homeschool plan — students and Family plan subscribers won't see this option.
   
• A bookmark I saved is missing.
  If we have updated the thing you bookmarked, your bookmark will always point to the newest version. If the thing you bookmarked was removed from our library, it will no longer appear in your bookmarks.
   
• I'm missing bookmarks I know I saved, and the content is still in the BrainPOP library. 
  If you teach at more than one school, choose Switch School from the menu bar to check that you're logged into the same school account you used when you bookmarked them. You have separate bookmark collections for each school you belong to.

Teaching with Bookmarking

Use bookmarking to plan ahead: browse and bookmark topics, activities, and Browse by Curriculum pages over the weekend, then return to them easily when you're ready to build assignments during the week.

Building out a full unit? Bookmark the resources you're considering as you go, then use your Bookmarks page — filtering by product or content type — to review everything together before finalizing your plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my bookmarks be kept forever?

Yes. Bookmarks are stay saved so that they are available any time you log in, until you remove them yourself.

Not at this time. Your bookmarks are kept within your own account.

Your bookmark will always point to the most up-to-date version of the thing you bookmarked. If the content you bookmarked is removed from our library, it will also be removed from your bookmarks.
