Students with individual accounts can get access to a dashboard that displays their assignments and saved projects created with Make-a-Map, Make-a-Movie, or Creative Coding.
Note: Students must belong to at least one teacher’s class in order to log in to an individual student account.
They’ll also have a timeline of the entire history they’ve done on BrainPOP—from movies they’ve watched to quizzes they’ve completed. Students will receive a notification whenever they have a new, upcoming, or overdue assignment, and whenever a teacher provides feedback or a score on their work.
Navigating the Student Dashboard
To access the Dashboard, students should:
- Log in to BrainPOP with their individual student account.
- Click on Dashboard at the top.
- The dashboard will default to the Assignments tab. Students can switch to Projects or Timeline to view their ongoing and past work.
The Assignments tab shows all current assignments. Overdue assignments will be flagged.
You can view finished assignments by clicking the "Completed Assignments" button in the upper right. Assignments can be filtered by class using the dropdown at the top left.
The Projects tab will show all creative projects (Make-a-Map, Make-a-Movie, and Creative Coding). From here, you can view and edit past projects.
The Timeline tab shows a complete history of everything a student has done on BrainPOP while logged in to their account. This includes a history of movies viewed, in addition to assignment work and activities.
On the upper left corner of the screen, there is a Moby icon with a small drop-down arrow. Students can click on this icon to navigate to different site pages included in their school's subscription.
Students can select their username on the far right to go to settings or log out of their account.
On the Settings page, students can view their account information and reset their password.
