What Is Microsoft Immersive Reader?
BrainPOP quizzes and related reading activities now include an integration with Microsoft Immersive Reader! The immersive reader is a tool with a variety of uses to support students' reading needs. Features include:

Read-aloud questions and answers

Multi-lingual support and a picture dictionary

Text decoding to support students with learning differences
Currently, Microsoft Immersive Reader is available on BrainPOP and BrainPOP Jr. in quizzes, Pause Points, challenges, primary sources and related reading. It is usable in:

Review mode and graded mode
-
Fullscreen mode and mobile
Quizzes with the Immersive Reader
All quizzes on the main BrainPOP site have a button in the top right to open the immersive reader. The immersive reader will open as an overlay.
There are multiple tools and settings that can be adjusted depending on your needs, including text size, font color, font style and text decoding.
Clicking the arrow in the top left corner will exit the immersive reader; then you will see the quiz page again and be able to answer the question.
On the next page of the quiz, you will have to open the reader again. Your previously-chosen settings should still apply as you proceed through the quiz.
Pause Points with the Immersive Reader
All Pause Points have the Microsoft Immersive Reader integrated. You can open the immersive reader by clicking the button at the top of the panel.
Clicking the arrow in the top left corner will exit the immersive reader; then you will see the movie page again and be able to continue.
When you get to the next pause point, you will have to open the reader again. Your previously-chosen settings should still apply as you proceed through the movie.
Challenges with the Immersive Reader
All Challenge activities on BrainPOP have the Microsoft Immersive Reader integrated. You can open the reader as an overlay by clicking the button in the top left of the Challenge screen.
Clicking the arrow in the top left corner will exit the immersive reader; then you will see the challenge page again and be able to answer the question.
