Family, Homeschool, and Teacher Plans
Family, Homeschool, and Teacher Plan customers can use Reset Password to get a username reminder and reset passwords.
After entering your info, you'll be emailed a link to reset your password.
Teachers with Individual Accounts
In addition to the Reset Password, teachers with individual educator accounts can also log in, click their username at the top, and click Settings. From here, click Edit, then enter your old and new passwords and click Save.
Students with Individual Accounts
Teachers can reset a student's password from their class page.
- Log in to BrainPOP, then click Dashboard at the top.
- Click on the class the student belongs to.
- Click the View Students button on the right.
- Click the pencil icon under Edit, next to the student's username.
- Write in a new password, then retype the password, and click Save. This will unlock the student's account so they can log in again.
- Share this new password with the student. Students can change their password after they sign in by clicking on their username in the top right corner, and then going to Settings.
Shared School Login
If your school is using a legacy shared school login, you won't be able to reset the password using the Reset Password tool on our site.
Your school's admin can contact us to update the username or password.

Can I update a username?
If it's a student individual account username, you can! For other types of usernames, you'll need to contact us in order to change it. The username needs to be unique to our system, so we recommend you choose something with both alphabetic and numeric characters.
Teachers can reset a student's username from their class page.

- Click on the class the student belongs to.

- Write in a new username (must be unique to our system) and click Save.
Are there any requirements for passwords?
Passwords must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 6 characters
- Must have 1 number
- May only include the symbols . ! ? @ # $ ^ * - _
My student is getting a message that their account is locked. How do I unlock it?
Student accounts lock if they attempt to log in unsuccessfully many times in succession. Teachers can unlock a student's account by simply resetting the student's password.
