Creating Accounts with SSO integrations
As an admin, you can set up SSO via Clever, G Suite for Education, or an LTI tool that can be used for SSO in any Learning Management System that supports LTI tools. Clever supports automatic account creation and rostering. G Suite and LTI integrations provision individual accounts on demand. Student accounts are created automatically the first time they use the SSO after students provide a class code they receive from their teacher.
The G Suite integration also supports rostering through Google Classroom. Teachers who roster their classes through Google Classroom do not require a class code to create their account.
Review these Integration articles for more information on setting up SSO integrations for your school or district.
Creating Accounts via CSV Upload
CSV uploads are temporarily unavailable while we make some improvements. This work may take some time, but educators can still create their own accounts and add students to their classes.
School administrators can use the Admin Dashboard to upload educator accounts via CSV.
This article has information on creating student accounts via CSV.
After uploading student accounts for your school, your teachers can invite students to join their classes.
Creating Student Accounts via the Class Code
NOTE: Students must belong to at least one class in order to access the school’s BrainPOP subscription with their individual account.
Frequently Asked Questions
We use both G Suite and a Learning Management System. Can we set up integrations with both?
No. We can only support a single integration at a time. We recommend that you select the integration that the most users at your school or district can access. If you’re not sure which integration is best for you, contact us.
Can students use the educator code to create accounts?
No. Students should not be given the educator code at any time. For students to join a class, you can generate a class code, which is a special code only for students to use.
